Abstract: This proposal seeks to apply innovative proprietary advances in sold state reserve battery technology and advanced Li-ion battery materials to solve powering and fuzing issues for certain Navy ammunitions requirements. This work combines multiple parallel innovations inlcuding a novel multi-cell energy transformation and advanced battery material technology.
Benefits: Advantages of our innovation include rapid activation/response/ rise time, extremely long shelf life, higher energy/power density, and excellent reliability, safety and run time. The innovative battery will activate through tranformation of compression energy such as an ammunition projectile on launch and can be activated/deactivated repeatedly for teting throughout it s life.
