Abstract: |
We propose to develop a multi-modal interaction framework an unmanned helicopter and warfighers who are not skilled UAS operators. This framework can support multiple modes, such as sketch, speech, chat and gesture, including simultaneous multi-modal input in one interaction. |
Benefits: |
We anticipate delivering a toolkit that can be used by any manufacturer to enable humans to interact with their unmanned system via our scalable interaction approach, either directly from human to UAS or via a ground control station. This toolkit will include the framework, an API set and a fully implemented set of features for one or two modes, likely to be sketch and speech. |
