Abstract: |
We aim to develop Artificial Intelligence (AI) software that is generalized across entity-level simulation systems and can be used to generate behaviors in training simulations that are both contextually and tactically realistic. The near-term goal for Phase I is to define and develop a concept for improving simulation training using AI in VBS2 and JSAF, focusing on improving the behavioral realism of the AI while reducing the need for support personnel. |
Benefits: |
We will target this system for the software development tools market and the human behavior representation (HBR) market. Our offering could perhaps be classified as a "cognitive agent development toolkit". As such, the typical end user is a software developer building a computer game, or desktop assistant, or even a robotic vacuum cleaner - anything that requires the ability to learn from or mimic human performance. One identifiable subgroup of these software developers is the community of game programmers, who serve the gaming market. |
