Abstract: |
Two types of pixels will be interleaved in the same array to obtain both passive imaging and imaging synchronized with a laser pulse. The synchronized array will be controlled with a gating clock that will be locked to the laser using a locally generated search algorithm. Standard SiGe processes will be investigated to determine their suitability for infrared absorption at 1064nm. |
Benefits: |
Machine Vision - Manufacturing operations with high-speed production lines can benefit from the integration of barcode scanning and IR imaging in single device. Motion Analysis - Computer gaming, animation and special effects for the movie industry would benefit from infrared tracking of multiple markers while imaging background scenery. Medical Systems - Endoscopic sensors could benefit from the simultaneous readout of dual integration time pixels for imaging of fluorescent die with different efficiency and emission wavelength. |
